Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donald Goudie took the kick off in the first half of the match. NUCKERS FC's Aaron Cole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fraser Cumin in the 4th minute of play. When Darren Gilbertson fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NUCKERS FC's protests and gave Darren Gilbertson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Darren Gilbertson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robin McGilchrist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James McGlashan in the 8th minute of play. In the 13th minute Fraser Cumin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Cole saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Goudie in the 14th minute of play forced NUCKERS FC's goalkeeper Aaron Cole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Fraser Cumin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montrose Flames's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NUCKERS FC the free kick. In the 22nd minute, Donald Goudie fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Aaron Cole, passed just outside the right post. Eric McShimes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Aaron Cole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montrose Flames's Eric McShimes got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Montrose Flames's Aaron Cole threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fraser Cumin, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 26th play minute Fraser Cumin came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Aaron Cole. 1-0. Harry Denoon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robin McGilchrist having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Montrose Flames's Theo McLeod got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute of the match Rory McFie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robin McGilchrist skillfully saved the ball. Robin McGilchrist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from James McGlashan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 38 minutes, Eric McShimes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montrose Flames's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric McShimes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lloyd Taylor kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. NUCKERS FC's Aaron Cole proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save NUCKERS FC from getting a goal against them. Robin McGilchrist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Denoon in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th minute Harry Denoon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robin McGilchrist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, James McGlashan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

A wasted opportunity for Montrose Flames. 69 minutes into the match, NUCKERS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Goudie came free, but Aaron Cole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 71 minutes into the match, Montrose Flames's goal looked a bit too open when James McGlashan came free, but Robin McGilchrist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donald Goudie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aaron Cole showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric McShimes, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After some careless play in the NUCKERS FC defense, Donald Goudie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aaron Cole. The NUCKERS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aaron Cole should have stopped the shot. Donald Goudie took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aaron Cole. Aaron Cole dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 91 minutes into the game, Montrose Flames's Eric McShimes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aaron Cole made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Andrew Finlay kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Montrose Flames players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
