Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) If Rupert McGillivantic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 7thth minute of the game Ivan Hewitt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Livingston's Jonathan Alcock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Livingston's Jonathan Alcock got control of the ball when Davie Caw tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 16 played minutes Livingston got a freekick which was hit by Edward Barlow. In the 17th minute, Davie Caw got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Livingston's Jonathan Alcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Hewitt in the 20th minute of play. Davie Caw sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davie Caw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Alcock having to interfere. When Ivan Hewitt came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Livingston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivan Hewitt couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Owen McBain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Livingston's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Livingston the free kick. After 34 played minutes Livingston got a freekick which was hit by Owen McBain. In the 38th minute, Livingston's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ivan Hewitt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Les Sorely scored 1-0 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Alcock, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
Davie Caw recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Alcock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ivan Hewitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Livingston's Davie Caw got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Lee McGilp managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Livingston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lee McGilp was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Livingston's goalkeeper David McVinish, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. David McVinish took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rupert McGillivantic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David McVinish made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lee McGilp in the 66th minute. Ivan Hewitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Livingston's goalkeeper Jonathan Alcock, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Livingston's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
