After a defensive mix-up in Biggar City's zone, Patrick Fish stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher McLennan came out of the goal and Patrick Fish tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Fish in the 22nd minute of play forced Biggar City's goalkeeper Christopher McLennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mike Murchison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 minutes of play, Arrochar's Patrick Fish made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Christopher McLennan was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Mike Murchison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. When Evan Lamb fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biggar City's protests and gave Evan Lamb a yellow card for diving instead. In the 43rd minute, Evan Lamb hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Biggar City's Christopher McLennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Murchison in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Arrochar were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Patrick Fish came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Arrochar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Fish couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrick Fish in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christopher McLennan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Patrick Fish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kyle Agnew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Taylor Spittal, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. If Taylor Spittal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Taylor Spittal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Arrochar's Christopher McLennan threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Patrick Fish, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 82nd minute, Taylor Spittal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Biggar City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 92nd minute, Colin Coulthart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mike Murchison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Christopher McLennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
