The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Wal McCamie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Beath having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Roy Lombard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westhill's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Lombard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Beath breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Max Beath stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wal McCamie's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute Tony Howie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jake Blake saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jake Blake made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas McConnach in the 29th minute of play. Westhill's defense didn't have a chance, in the 31st minute, when Lucas McConnach scored to the left of an out of position Jake Blake, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Lombard in the 36th minute of play forced Beith United's goalkeeper Max Beath to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gus McNee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Westhill's zone, Lucas McConnach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jake Blake came out of the goal and Lucas McConnach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lucas McConnach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 58 played minutes Beith United got a freekick which was hit by Tony Howie. 60 minutes into the game, Jordan McCrimmor was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beith United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westhill the free kick. In the 61st minute, Gary Barbour sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Beith United's Max Beath didn't even have to move. Roy Lombard did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Max Beath 95 minutes into the match. Westhill were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Beith United to leave the ground with a draw.
