In the 14th minute, Bob Cameron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes, Caesarians's Matt McGreusich shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Guy McKinlay came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caesarians reached it. In the 19th minute, Richard McTaggart ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guy McKinlay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Lochwinnoch United's Guy McKinlay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard McTaggart in the 22nd minute of play. If Bob Cameron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Lochwinnoch United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bob Cameron hit a great ball. Richard McTaggart struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Jim McBurie scored 1-4 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charles Forster, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
