Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Keith McCodrum kicked off to start the match. 3 minutes into the match, Ellon AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dean Fairley came free, but Greg McEol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ellon AFC's Greg McEol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Fairley in the 4th minute of play. Jake Eadie kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. If Keith McCodrum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Keith McCodrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 19 minutes of play, Ellon AFC's Keith McCodrum made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Forster was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Keith McCodrum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick McGillivantic during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 23rd match minute, Caesarians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick McGillivantic to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute Keith McCodrum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles Forster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick McGillivantic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Greg McEol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dean Fairley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Greg McEol was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Charles Forster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciaran McLintock, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Richard McTaggart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Greg McEol made a huge save. After 39 minutes of play, Ellon AFC's Keith McCodrum made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charles Forster was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute, Caesarians's Dean Fairley dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dean Fairley to make the kick off. Greg McEol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dean Fairley in the 54th minute of the match. Dean Fairley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Greg McEol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Richard McTaggart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ciaran McLintock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Forster having to interfere. The long shot by Robbie Mennie in the 71st minute really tested Charles Forster's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 75 played minutes Caesarians got a freekick which was hit by Patrick McGillivantic. Richard McTaggart's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Greg McEol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Dean Fairley put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Greg McEol. Ciaran McLintock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Forster having to interfere. Dean Fairley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciaran McLintock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Charles Forster made a huge save. Keith McCodrum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charles Forster having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Keith McCodrum took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Charles Forster to make any attempt to save it. The Caesarians supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ellon AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Ellon AFC.
