Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Greig Monzie made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Davenport in the 4th minute of play forced Eyemouth FC's goalkeeper Jimmy Devlin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Devlin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Keith McCaishe went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Lochwinnoch United getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Bob Cameron hit a great ball. With a little luck, Lochwinnoch United's Guy McKinlay got control of the ball when Douglas McIlvride tried to sneak it across the goal line. Keith McCaishe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimmy Devlin having to interfere. Samuel Davenport received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Jimmy Devlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Finlay Fish hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Davenport sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Keith McCaishe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jimmy Devlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Davenport in the 31st minute of the match. Jimmy Devlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith McCaishe in the 37th minute of play. Jimmy Devlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith McCaishe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute of the match Mike McEachan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimmy Devlin skillfully saved the ball. After the first half Lochwinnoch United were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Davenport to make the kick off. Guy McKinlay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greig Monzie went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Keith McCaishe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Davenport struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Jimmy Devlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lochwinnoch United. The supporters of Lochwinnoch United booed when Eyemouth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward McGilroy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lochwinnoch United's Samuel Davenport got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Greig Monzie in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy McKinlay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 75th minute, Greig Monzie got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lochwinnoch United's Guy McKinlay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominic Neilson in the 77th minute of play. Keith McCaishes short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Jimmy Devlin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the match, Eyemouth FC's goalkeeper Jimmy Devlin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Keith McCaishe. The supporters of Eyemouth FC booed when Lochwinnoch United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicholas Donlevy didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Keith McCaishe came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Lochwinnoch United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Keith McCaishe couldn't finish the play.
