Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Samuel Davenport kicked off to start the match. Ellon AFC's Greg McEol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuel Davenport in the 8th minute of play. Ciaran McLintock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy McKinlay having to interfere. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lochwinnoch United's goalkeeper Guy McKinlay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Keith McCodrum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Guy McKinlay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keith McCodrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciaran McLintock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy McKinlay having to interfere. When Ellon AFC's Keith McCodrum in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lochwinnoch United's goalie prevented a goal. Ciaran McLintock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Ciaran McLintock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciaran McLintock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciaran McLintock in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guy McKinlay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ciaran McLintock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith McCodrum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Keith McCaishes short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Greg McEol to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Keith McCodrum made a kick off. After having played for 59 minutes, Ciaran McLintock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ellon AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciaran McLintock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Keith McCaishe managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lochwinnoch United's supporters rose to their feet, but Keith McCaishe was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Greg McEol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Davenport fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greg McEol having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Ellon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Robbie Mennie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith McCaishe in the 70th minute of play forced Ellon AFC's goalkeeper Greg McEol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciaran McLintock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guy McKinlay having to interfere. Greg McEol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keith McCaishe in the 81st minute of play. After 85 minutes of play, Ellon AFC's Ciaran McLintock made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guy McKinlay was left in no man's land by his defense there!
