Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) In the 6th match minute, Wick was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Gilfillan to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the game, Les Bryde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wick's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Taynuilt the free kick. In the 11th minute of the match Calum Graham shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Terence Bone showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Darren Buntain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Christopher Corstorphine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 22nd minute by Raymond Lamb got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 25th minute Darren Buntain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Corstorphine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Shane McCombie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wick's supporters crossed their fingers, but Shane McCombie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Patrick McCansh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Darren Buntain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 44 played minutes Wick got a freekick which was hit by Kenny McMaster. Terence Bone was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Calum Graham. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patrick McCansh was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wick's Shane McCombie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christopher Corstorphine narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Darren Buntain could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Christopher Corstorphine made a huge save. 55 minutes into the game, Raymond Lamb cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Terence Bone was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 60 minutes into the game, Taynuilt's Raymond Lamb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Terence Bone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 65th minute, Taynuilt's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Darren Buntain fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Wick's Terence Bone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick McCansh in the 69th minute of play. Christopher Corstorphine made an important save on a dangerous shot by Darren Buntain in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick McCansh in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Terence Bone saved Wick from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shane McCombie in the 83rd minute of play forced Taynuilt's goalkeeper Christopher Corstorphine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Shane McCombie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Corstorphine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wick players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Taynuilt.
