Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Roddie McCall started the match with the kick off. Jamie McKieson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roddie McCall fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Patrick Yuill having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fochabers City's zone, Jamie McKieson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Yuill came out of the goal and Jamie McKieson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gareth McLamond during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Fochabers City booed when Wishaw City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gareth McLamond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Rusk who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 20thth minute tested the skills of Jeremy McRaild when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 24 minutes, Marc Dallas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fochabers City and the Wishaw City players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marc Dallas kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. After 26 minutes Fochabers City's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roy Lees who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Roddie McCall to score against Patrick Yuill in Fochabers City's goal. 0-1 after 26 minutes. Jeremy McRaild made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Rusk in the 33rd minute. Jeremy McRaild made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Samuel Rusk sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th match minute, Wishaw City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugh Gruer to maneuver through the defense. Patrick Yuill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie McKieson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the match, Wishaw City's goal looked a bit too open when Rick Hossack came free, but Jeremy McRaild reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes, Samuel Rusk made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Wishaw City's Jeremy McRaild tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rick Hossack made a kick off. A collision led to Wishaw City getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Finlay Boyle hit a great ball. After 59 minutes of play, Wishaw City's Jamie McKieson made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Patrick Yuill was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rick Hossack sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rick Hossack in the 65th minute of play forced Wishaw City's goalkeeper Jeremy McRaild to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeremy McRaild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rick Hossack, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Samuel Rusk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremy McRaild having to interfere. Fochabers City's Patrick Yuill played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roddie McCall in the 81st minute of play. Patrick Yuill didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jamie McKieson went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score.
