In the 3rd minute Oliver Limont shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy McRaild saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve Gilbertson made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Hugh Gruer sent off a good shot on target. Steve Gilbertson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugh Gruer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliver Limont received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jeremy McRaild tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute of the match, Roddie McCall tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Steve Gilbertson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hugh Gruer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Steve Gilbertson made a huge save. Roddie McCall kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oliver Limont in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremy McRaild saved Wishaw City from getting behind. When Benjamin Gardiner fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored glasgow rangers's protests and gave Benjamin Gardiner a yellow card for diving instead. Benjamin Gardiner hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After 33 minutes of play, glasgow rangers's Oliver Limont made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremy McRaild was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 36 minutes, Steve Gilbertson successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 38 minutes into the match, glasgow rangers's goalkeeper Steve Gilbertson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hugh Gruer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Freddie Duffie in the 39th minute of play forced Wishaw City's goalkeeper Jeremy McRaild to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes of play, glasgow rangers's Freddie Duffie made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremy McRaild was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Wishaw City's zone, Oliver Limont stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeremy McRaild came out of the goal and Oliver Limont tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Adam Harperson to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to glasgow rangers getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Adam Harperson hit a great ball. After 53 played minutes glasgow rangers got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Duffie. Oliver Limont kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Steve Gilbertson came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Wishaw City's Murray Kenneth. But to his dismay, Murray Kenneth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. 62 minutes into the game, Peter Hardy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Steve Gilbertson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Hardy in the 66th minute of play forced glasgow rangers's goalkeeper Steve Gilbertson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to glasgow rangers getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Oliver Limont hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Roddie McCall ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Gilbertson was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-3. glasgow rangers were furious when Benjamin Gardiner was red carded, 73 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, glasgow rangers's Benjamin Gardiner got a free kick in the 74th minute. Steve Gilbertson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Lees in the 75th minute of the match. glasgow rangers's Steve Gilbertson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roddie McCall in the 77th minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, glasgow rangers's goal looked a bit too open when Peter Hardy came free, but Steve Gilbertson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steve Gilbertson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie McKieson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Steve Gilbertson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugh Gruer in the 91st minute of play. After 92 played minutes glasgow rangers got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Duffie. Wishaw City's Roddie McCall got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to glasgow rangers getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Oliver Limont hit a great ball. glasgow rangers's Steve Gilbertson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roddie McCall in the 96th minute of play. There was no doubt that Wishaw City were the better team. Wishaw City's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
