Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aidan McNey took the kick off in the first half of the match. Aidan McNey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremy McRaild having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Jamie McKieson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Tain's Jamie Begg got a free kick in the 13th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruce Brebner during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Castle got free with Jeremy McRaild in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tain's Connor McOran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie McKieson in the 26th minute of play. Jamie McKieson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roddie McCall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Connor McOran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Connor McOran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamie McKieson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Wishaw City's Roddie McCall sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Connor McOran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roddie McCall's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Connor McOran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. The Tain players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Wishaw City were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roddie McCall made a kick off. With a little luck, Tain's Connor McOran got control of the ball when Jamie McKieson tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Tain getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Jamie Begg hit a great ball. Jamie McKieson struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Connor McOran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wishaw City. The crowd rose to their feet as Wishaw City's Roddie McCall slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Connor McOran. That made the score 0-2 after 60 minutes of play. Frank Castle struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jeremy McRaild didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tain. After 73 played minutes Wishaw City got a freekick which was hit by Gareth McLamond. Frank Castle's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeremy McRaild read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. In the 85th minute, Roy Lees hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremy McRaild showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Castle, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Castle in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeremy McRaild prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aidan McNey took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeremy McRaild. Jeremy McRaild dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2.
