Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dalmally City's Craig French started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Craig French received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. William Collier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike McColman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connor Young, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Mike McColman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Cook in the 11th minute of the match. Fergus Dyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. William Collier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Craig French fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Collier having to interfere. After having played for 17 minutes, Vincent Cook managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ayr's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent Cook was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Connor Young sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute of the match Stevie Park sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mike McColman skillfully saved the ball. With a little luck, Ayr's William Collier got control of the ball when Fergus Dyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Vincent Cook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vincent Cook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mike McColman having to interfere. Vincent Cook succeeded in the game's 35th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. William Collier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Craig French, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Mike McColman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Connor Young in the 42nd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Vincent Cook made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Ayr's Connor Young ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mike McColman. Mike McColman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. In the 56th minute, Dalmally City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Connor Young fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 57 played minutes Dalmally City got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Coull. 60 minutes into the match, Dalmally City's goalkeeper Mike McColman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Connor Young. Fergus Dyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. William Collier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Donald Corstorphine's late challenge caught a Dalmally City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donald Corstorphine helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dalmally City booed when Ayr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donald Corstorphine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Craig French sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 68th minute, Ewan McKerracher left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dalmally City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Craig French recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ayr's zone, Fergus Dyer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Collier came out of the goal and Fergus Dyer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mike McColman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Cook in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ayr's zone, Craig French stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. William Collier came out of the goal and Craig French tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ayr's William Collier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fergus Dyer in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Connor Young got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ewan McKerracher hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Ayr's William Collier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fergus Dyer in the 96th minute of play.
