Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Vincent Cook started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Vincent Cook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie McIan having to interfere. Charlie McIan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Connor Young, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brian Lees in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck William Collier prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vincent Cook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Charlie McIan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Lees in the 17thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of William Collier, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank Hastings during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. William Collier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricky McKinley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ayr's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tony Martin in the 32nd minute. Ayr's Tony Martin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Charlie McIan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Connor Young sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brian Lees fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Collier having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ayr's Frank Hastings got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Ricky McKinley made the kick off in the second half. Frank Hastings could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Charlie McIan made a huge save. Plockton United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Vincent Cook scored to the left of an out of position Charlie McIan, making the score, 0-1. 70 minutes into the match, Plockton United's Ricky McKinley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that William Collier narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Graeme Syme kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Ayr's William Collier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Lees in the 77th minute of play. If Brian Lees had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brandon Dingwall lost his temper 81 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ayr! The referee gave Plockton United a penalty, 83 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paul McWalrick, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ayr's William Collier. 1-1. After 87 minutes of play, Plockton United's Brian Lees made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. William Collier was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Plockton United booed when Ayr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paul McWalrick was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ricky McKinley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without William Collier having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ayr players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Plockton United.
