Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Calum Banks started the match with the kick off. If Adrian McGilroy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Adrian McGilroy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Munton United FC's Graham Wheelan. Graham Wheelan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Kelty's zone, Patrick Aldridge stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Greg McShannachan came out of the goal and Patrick Aldridge tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Munton United FC defense, Adrian McGilroy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Graham Wheelan. The Munton United FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Graham Wheelan should have stopped the shot. Declan Tosh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Munton United FC booed when Kelty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iain Cleland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Declan Tosh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Greg McShannachan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg McShannachan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calum Banks in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wally Dis in the 37th minute of play forced Munton United FC's goalkeeper Graham Wheelan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Adrian McGilroy made a precise shot to the right of Graham Wheelan. Munton United FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Wally Dis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Graham Wheelan having to interfere. Munton United FC's Patrick Aldridge got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Kelty were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Graham Wheelan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian McGilroy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dylan McLarty in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Graham Wheelan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 69 minutes into the match, Munton United FC's goalkeeper Graham Wheelan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wally Dis. 82 minutes into the game, Adrian McGilroy recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Graham Wheelan. Adrian McGilroy showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adrian McGilroy in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Graham Wheelan saved Munton United FC from getting behind. Wally Dis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Graham Wheelan made a huge save. If Dylan McLarty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Munton United FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kelty's performance. The match ended with a win for Kelty.
