Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nick Bowmaker started the match with the kick off. When Paddy Wright fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carluke's protests and gave Paddy Wright a yellow card for diving instead. Paddy Wright hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Tighnabruaich's Martin Buchan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Carluke. After 5 played minutes Carluke got a freekick which was hit by Paddy Wright. When Carluke's Willie Lobban in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tighnabruaich's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th match minute, Carluke was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex McFie to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Tighnabruaich's zone, Joe Hutcheson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duncan McAndrew came out of the goal and Joe Hutcheson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the game, Nick Bowmaker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tighnabruaich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carluke the free kick. In the 26th play minute Gavin Leitch came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ryan McChlerich. 1-0. Alex McFie charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex McFie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes Tighnabruaich got a freekick which was hit by Dylan McDrain. In the 34th minute Willie Lobban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan McAndrew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Joe Hutcheson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Willie Lobban might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duncan McAndrew. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willie Lobban ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Tighnabruaich's goal looked a bit too open when Willie Lobban came free, but Duncan McAndrew reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ryan McChlerich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavin Leitch in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 53rd minute Nick Bowmaker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryan McChlerich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nick Bowmaker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Willie Lobban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Carluke's Alex McFie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Duncan McAndrew narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Tighnabruaich got a freekick which was hit by Lewis McLairish. Duncan McAndrew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joe Hutcheson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Willie Lobbans short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Duncan McAndrew to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Matthew Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Duncan McAndrew showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Hutcheson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ryan McChlerich didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nick Bowmaker went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 79 minutes into the game, Matthew Jones was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tighnabruaich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carluke the free kick. After 79 played minutes Tighnabruaich got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Jones. Joe Hutcheson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Willie Lobban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Gregor Davenport hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duncan McAndrew made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Hutcheson in the 87th minute of play. After 90 minutes, Duncan Francis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carluke and the Tighnabruaich players grew even worse after the yellow card. Duncan Francis hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Ryan McChlerich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nick Bowmaker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 94 minutes, Gavin Leitch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tighnabruaich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavin Leitch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carluke's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tighnabruaich had won, even though Carluke had held more of the ball.
