Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Miles Grieve got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Quentin McKelvie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shotts's supporters rose to their feet, but Quentin McKelvie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben McDaniell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute of the match Ronald Huntly shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ben McDaniell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Quentin McKelvie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ben McDaniell having to interfere. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Quentin McKelvie notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Berriedale AFC's Ben McDaniell. Ben McDaniell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miles Grieve in the 24th minute of play forced Shotts's goalkeeper Miles Kendrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quentin McKelvie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ben McDaniell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berriedale AFC's Frankie Davidson got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Berriedale AFC's Miles Grieve slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Miles Kendrick. That made the score 1-1 after 32 minutes of play. The audience was convinced that Quentin McKelvie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ben McDaniell was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. The supporters of Berriedale AFC booed when Shotts was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paddy McRath didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Euan Limond to make the kick off. Miles Kendrick came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Berriedale AFC's Miles Grieve. But to his dismay, Miles Grieve quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After a rather tough play, Berriedale AFC's Calum McCuaig got a free kick in the 70th minute. Calum McCuaig charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Calum McCuaig the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd minute, Calum McCuaig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 played minutes Berriedale AFC got a freekick which was hit by Grant Keene. Berriedale AFC's Ben McDaniell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Berriedale AFC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Berriedale AFC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Callum Deuchar hit a great ball. Ben McDaniell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Quentin McKelvie in the 82nd minute. Berriedale AFC's Ben McDaniell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Berriedale AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 84th match minute, Berriedale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Calum McCuaig to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute Miles Grieve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miles Kendrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shotts's Miles Kendrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frankie Davidson in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miles Grieve in the 93rd minute of play forced Shotts's goalkeeper Miles Kendrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Berriedale AFC's Iain McEachern got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Shotts supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Shotts would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
