Spectators: 37 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Elliot Yuille who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Logan Lachie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 8 minutes of play, Clackmannan's Ivan McNey made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rick Ogilvie was left in no man's land by his defense there! 20 minutes into the match, Clackmannan's goal looked a bit too open when Shane Broom came free, but Logan Lachie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute, Elliot Yuille got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Clackmannan's goalkeeper Logan Lachie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Shane Broom's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Logan Lachie was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gregor Reid in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rick Ogilvie saved celtic fc from getting behind. 33 minutes into the match, celtic fc's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan McNey came free, but Rick Ogilvie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elliot Yuille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Logan Lachie having to interfere. The supporters of celtic fc booed when Clackmannan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean McHutcheon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Clackmannan's zone, Shane Broom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Logan Lachie came out of the goal and Shane Broom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Clackmannan's Logan Lachie got control of the ball when Elliot Yuille tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 47 minutes, Gregor Reid managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clackmannan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gregor Reid was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Clackmannan were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Shane Broom made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Stuart Barrie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elliot Yuille struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Logan Lachie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for celtic fc. After 56 minutes of play, celtic fc's Shane Broom made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Logan Lachie was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eddie Roy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Logan Lachie. Clackmannan's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elliot Yuille in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Logan Lachie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 70th minute Shane Broom shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Logan Lachie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When celtic fc's Shane Broom in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clackmannan's goalie prevented a goal. celtic fc's Rick Ogilvie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregor Reid in the 76th minute of play. Gregor Reid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rick Ogilvie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barry Stevenson during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Clackmannan's zone, Shane Broom stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Logan Lachie came out of the goal and Shane Broom tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy McCorkill during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 85 played minutes Clackmannan got a freekick which was hit by Roy McCorkill. Elliot Kerracher hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The celtic fc fans cheered their team off the field, for while Clackmannan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
