Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) After 3 played minutes Alva got a freekick which was hit by Phil McLeish. Lloyd McRitchie took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Samuel Hossack. Samuel Hossack dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Bradley McOwen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lloyd McRitchie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Hossack having to make a save. Rick McRath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradley McOwen in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, Alva was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny McCash to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Hossack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lloyd McRitchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Alva's Samuel Hossack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barry Frizell in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Drew Findlayson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alva's supporters crossed their fingers, but Drew Findlayson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Barry Frizell scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Hossack, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Alva's Phil McLeish got a free kick in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Barry Frizell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Hossack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lloyd McRitchie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Alva getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Will Fisher hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Inverness Caledonian FC's Phil McRobert tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Samuel Hossack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lloyd McRitchie in the 57th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Barry Frizell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lloyd McRitchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Hossack having to interfere. Samuel Hossack made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barry Frizell in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Inverness Caledonian FC's Lloyd McRitchie dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Bradley McOwen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rick McRath tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradley McOwen scored 2-3 in the 76th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rick McRath, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rick McRath showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Drew Findlayson in the 89th minute of the match. 93 minutes into the game, Lloyd McRitchie cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-4. Samuel Hossack was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inverness Caledonian FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
