After 5 played minutes Ebola United got a freekick which was hit by Rick McOmie. Rod Carter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry McGhee having to interfere. Dougal Baxter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 13 played minutes Fireverm got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Jamieson. If Rod Carter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rod Carter in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barry McGhee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jason Coull made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gary Dyson in the 20th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of Fireverm:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ebola United:s goal. In the 34th minute, Guy Lauchlan made a precise shot to the right of Barry McGhee. Fireverm's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rod Carter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barry McGhee having to make a save. Rod Carter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Fireverm getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Ronald McNish hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel McVeagh to strike the kick off in the second half. Rick McOmie struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Barry McGhee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ebola United. Liam Malloch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gareth Piper charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gareth Piper the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fireverm's Gareth Piper got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 66th minute, Rod Carter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rod Carter had several of the Fireverm's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 68 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Barry McGhee as he didn't even see the shot coming. Ebola United's Rod Carter got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Liam Malloch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rod Carter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Barry McGhee was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 77 minutes into the match, Fireverm's goalkeeper Barry McGhee had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liam Malloch. The audience thought a goal was coming when Liam Malloch got free with Barry McGhee in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronald McNish during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ronald McNish hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Rod Carter succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 82nd playminute. When Guy Lauchlan fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ebola United's protests and gave Guy Lauchlan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th minute, Guy Lauchlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rod Carter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jason Coull showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gary Dyson in the 93rd minute of the match. Barry McGhee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guy Lauchlan in the 97th minute of play. The Fireverm fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ebola United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
