Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ray Bruce kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, KingsHall's Calum McLachlan got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conor McBurie in the 4th minute of play forced KingsHall's goalkeeper Malcolm McEoin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Newcastleton FC's Evan Esson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Newcastleton FC from getting a goal against them. Malcolm McEoin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Bruce in the 14th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Willie Armour recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Evan Esson. Willie Armour showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 23rd minute, Adrian Morren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute Conor McBurie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malcolm McEoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 minutes of play, Newcastleton FC's Ray Bruce made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Malcolm McEoin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evan Esson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Armour, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Ronald Eadie's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Evan Esson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute Willie Armour shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evan Esson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newcastleton FC's Evan Esson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Newcastleton FC from getting a goal against them. The KingsHall players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Newcastleton FC were winning 1-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Willie Armour made a kick off. If Ronald Eadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Newcastleton FC's goal looked a bit too open when Willie Armour came free, but Evan Esson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. KingsHall's Malcolm McEoin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conor McBurie in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Ray Bruce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastleton FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ray Bruce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Malcolm McEoin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Willie Armour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evan Esson having to interfere. Newcastleton FC's Evan Esson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Eadie in the 63rd minute of play. In the 65th minute Ronald Eadie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evan Esson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, KingsHall's Adrian Morren got a free kick in the 66th minute. Robert McChlerich hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Willie Armour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evan Esson having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Newcastleton FC's Conor McBurie sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Malcolm McEoin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Willie Armour put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Evan Esson. The audience was convinced that Ronald Eadie's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evan Esson was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Michael Patrick during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Newcastleton FC:s Evan Esson showed great skill when he stopped Harry Lamondson:s penalty. If Ronald Eadie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the match, Ronald Eadie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Evan Esson. Newcastleton FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ronald Eadie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. With a little luck, KingsHall's Malcolm McEoin got control of the ball when Conor McBurie tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Owen Gold during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Newcastleton FC getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Owen Gold hit a great ball. KingsHall's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
