The referee ignored Beat Rafal fc's protests and gave Shaun McMinn a yellow card for diving instead. Shaun McMinn hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Rob Clarkson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walter Barr having to interfere. Rob Clarkson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Walter Barr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Rob Clarkson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 14 minutes, Vincent McDonleavy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosewell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vincent McDonleavy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute Robin Griesck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Brebner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rosewell booed when Beat Rafal fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shaun McMinn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 18 minutes, Robin Griesck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosewell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robin Griesck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robin Griesck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald Brebner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Walter Barr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Connor McEol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Beat Rafal fc's Roddie Fergus got a free kick in the 29th minute. Vincent McDonleavy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Connor McEol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Walter Barr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rob Clarkson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Griesck to make the kick off. When Graham Ayson came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Rosewell fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graham Ayson couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keith Cole in the 60th minute of play forced Beat Rafal fc's goalkeeper Ronald Brebner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve Ferson struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Ronald Brebner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rosewell. Connor McEol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Rosewell's Walter Barr got control of the ball when Connor McEol tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes in the game, Connor McEol fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Walter Barr having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vincent McDonleavy in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronald Brebner saved Beat Rafal fc from getting behind. Connor McEols short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Walter Barr to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Walter Barr was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Rob Clarkson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rob Clarkson really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Walter Barr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Clarkson, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Connor McEol managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beat Rafal fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Connor McEol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walter Barr breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rosewell's Walter Barr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Clarkson in the 95th minute of play. Walter Barr made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Connor McEol sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Beat Rafal fc booed when Rosewell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graham Ayson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Connor McEol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Beat Rafal fc had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
