Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tighnabruaich's Raymond McMinn started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Greg McVean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the game, Ray Askey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tighnabruaich's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wolves FC the free kick. Ray Askey kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Greg McVean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Greg McVean came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Wolves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Greg McVean couldn't finish the play. In the 18thth minute of the game Greg McVean who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tighnabruaich's Charlie Burk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tighnabruaich's goalkeeper Charlie Burk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 26th minute, Greg McVean made a precise shot to the right of Charlie Burk. Tighnabruaich's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 30 minutes into the match, Wolves FC's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond McMinn came free, but Derek Beresford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raymond McMinn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Derek Beresford having to interfere. The supporters of Wolves FC booed when Tighnabruaich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Askey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Greg McVean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Charlie Burk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Wolves FC's Bruce Ayson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charlie Burk narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Greg McVean recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charlie Burk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Forsyth, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Bruce Ayson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Wolves FC's Greg McVean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Charlie Burk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The wind increased when Greg McVean made the kick off in the second half. Greg McVeans short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Charlie Burk to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Charlie Burk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bruce Ayson went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. When Bruce Ayson came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Wolves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Ayson couldn't finish the play. Greg McVean sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 69 minutes, Bruce Ayson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wolves FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Ayson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Greg McVean received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Charlie Burk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Greg McVean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Burk having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tighnabruaich's zone, Tim McKeochan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charlie Burk came out of the goal and Tim McKeochan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Greg McVean who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Charlie Burk when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Greg McVean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Burk having to interfere. Wolves FC's Adrian Forsyth got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Wolves FC's Greg McVean in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Tighnabruaich's goalie prevented a goal. The Tighnabruaich fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Wolves FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
