After some careless play in the Montgomerie Galaxy defense, Bob Webster kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lewis Buckley. The Montgomerie Galaxy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lewis Buckley should have stopped the shot. Ciaran Dixon's late challenge caught a Montgomerie Galaxy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciaran Dixon helped the player get up and apologised. Ciaran Dixon kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the game Harold Gill made a throw-in which Sam McAslan played forward. Bob Webster struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Lewis Buckley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castlebay. Lewis Buckley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Webster in the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Montgomerie Galaxy's zone, Billy McLaverty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lewis Buckley came out of the goal and Billy McLaverty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lewis Buckley came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Castlebay's Bob Webster. But to his dismay, Bob Webster quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciaran Dixon in the 40th minute of play forced Montgomerie Galaxy's goalkeeper Lewis Buckley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd minute, Archie Polson had to leave the field with a concussion. After 43 minutes, Fraser Crum mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montgomerie Galaxy and the Castlebay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Montgomerie Galaxy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Castlebay were winning 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rod Gunn was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Rod Gunn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iain McGuffie was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Lewis Buckley came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Castlebay's Ciaran Dixon. But to his dismay, Ciaran Dixon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 65th minute, Harold Gill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bob Webster received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Lewis Buckley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciaran Dixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute.
