Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Aboyne's Neil McRankin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roddie McKillop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Crombie in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Aboyne's goal looked a bit too open when Will Crombie came free, but Roddie McKillop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luke Hunter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neil McRankin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luke Hunter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Neil McRankin in the 8th minute of play. Roddie McKillop was a little too slow when Will Crombie got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Keltic Academy's Luke Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil McRankin in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the match Aboyne got a corner. Keltic Academy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Walter Lauchlan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Walter Lauchlan almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Keltic Academy's Luke Hunter did a great save. Roddie McKillop made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Lucas Ainslie sent off a good shot on target. Luke Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robbie Cottrill in the 23rd minute of the match. Lucas Ainslies short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Roddie McKillop to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aboyne's Nicky Colyear got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Will Crombie kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roddie McKillop. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. Nicky Colyear received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luke Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Keltic Academy booed when Aboyne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neil McRankin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luke Hunter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicky Colyear in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Keltic Academy booed when Aboyne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicky Colyear didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Ainslie stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Neil McRankin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Hunter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Nicky Colyear left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aboyne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 62nd match minute, Aboyne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt McLamond to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Will Crombie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roddie McKillop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicky Colyear's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Luke Hunter skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 71st match minute, Aboyne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Lauchlan to maneuver through the defense. 72 minutes into the match, Keltic Academy's Nick Roberts broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Aboyne's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Ainslie came free, but Roddie McKillop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matt McLamond lost his temper 79 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 79th minute of the game. One of Aboyne:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Keltic Academy:s goal. Lucas Ainslie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Roddie McKillop tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Keltic Academy defense, Nicky Colyear kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Hunter. The Keltic Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Hunter should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd match minute, Aboyne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robbie Cottrill to maneuver through the defense. In the 94th minute of the match Nick Roberts sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roddie McKillop skillfully saved the ball. Lucas Ainslie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
