Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ken Bowmaker kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Golspie getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Josh Hawes hit a great ball. James Elliott made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Elliot Bates sent off a good shot on target. 9 minutes into the game, Josh Hawes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golspie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Inverness AFC the free kick. Elliot Bates's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, James Elliott skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Elliot Bates sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tyler Fox came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and James Elliott could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Ken Bowmaker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jimmy McCansh was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ken Bowmaker in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimmy McCansh saved Inverness AFC from getting behind. 24 minutes into the match, Graham McKay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of James Elliott. Golspie's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Graham McKay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a little luck, Golspie's James Elliott got control of the ball when Elliot Bates tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute Graham McKay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Elliott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Harold McPhater made a precise shot to the right of Jimmy McCansh. Inverness AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. James Elliott made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Tyler Fox sent off a good shot on target. Jimmy McCansh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ken Bowmaker went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 44 played minutes Inverness AFC got a freekick which was hit by Graham McKay. Harold McPhater recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Charles Inches to make the kick off. Harold McPhater struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Jimmy McCansh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golspie. Munro Jameson lost his temper 54 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. With a little luck, Inverness AFC's Jimmy McCansh got control of the ball when Ken Bowmaker tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jimmy McCansh stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ken Bowmaker's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harold McPhater got free with Jimmy McCansh in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Harold McPhater who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Jimmy McCansh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyler Fox in the 65th minute of play forced Golspie's goalkeeper James Elliott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy McCansh made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harold McPhater in the 70th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Jimmy McCansh successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ken Bowmaker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Inverness AFC's Darren Gilbert got a free kick in the 77th minute. Jimmy McCansh stood somewhat misplaced when Ken Bowmaker came free in front of goal and shot 1-4 to the left of him in the 79 minute. Harold McPhater could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Jimmy McCansh made a huge save. Harold McPhater struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Jimmy McCansh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Golspie. In the 89th minute, Ken Bowmaker reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jimmy McCansh. The goal made the score 1-5. In the 95th minute Josh Hawes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Graham McKay during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 97th match minute, Inverness AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graham McKay to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Harold McPhater fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. When the final whistle sounded Golspie left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Inverness AFC.
