Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jake Risk kicked off to start the match. Jake Risk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Dumbarton's Daniel Reidfurd got control of the ball when Mike McKintosh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mike McKintosh's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Daniel Reidfurd skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mike McKintosh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jake Risk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darvel's Jake Risk got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute Rick McCondy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larry Duffus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Raymond Kay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Larry Duffus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
Darvel's George Boyle got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rick McCondy could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Larry Duffus made a huge save. Raymond Kay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Larry Duffus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Reidfurd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike McKintosh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80th minute George Boyle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Reidfurd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Dumbarton's goal looked a bit too open when Mike McKintosh came free, but Daniel Reidfurd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute Jake Risk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Reidfurd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dumbarton's Douglas Denune got a free kick in the 87th minute. After having played for 90 minutes, Jake Risk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darvel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jake Risk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 92 minutes into the match, Darvel's goalkeeper Larry Duffus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rick McCondy. Tyler McAndrew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Larry Duffus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Miles Castle fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Darvel's protests and gave Miles Castle a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Darvel's Miles Castle got a free kick in the 96th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
