Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Simon Lyall made the kick off and thus started the match. 4 minutes into the game, Alloway City's Bradley McLucas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Frizell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 11th match minute, Iona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Barbour to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute, Simon Lyall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the game, Angus Colquhoun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alloway City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Iona the free kick. Angus Colquhoun kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Alloway City's zone, Raymond Lonie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricky Munro came out of the goal and Raymond Lonie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricky Munro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamish Murdoson, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Declan Dochart could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Richard Frizell made a huge save. Alloway City's Ricky Munro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamish Murdoson in the 27th minute of play. Bradley McLucas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Richard Frizell firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Bradley McLucas fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alloway City's protests and gave Bradley McLucas a yellow card for diving instead. Richard Frizell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Declan Dochart in the 37th minute. Richard Frizell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Lyall, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Bradley McLucas made a precise shot to the right of Richard Frizell. Iona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 56 played minutes Alloway City got a freekick which was hit by Bradley McLucas. After a defensive mix-up in Alloway City's zone, Hamish Murdoson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricky Munro came out of the goal and Hamish Murdoson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamish Cavanagh in the 62nd minute of play forced Alloway City's goalkeeper Ricky Munro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 65th minute of the match, Hamish Cavanagh got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ricky Munro was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With an all-out effort, Iona's Ricky Munro threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Raymond Lonie, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Lonie in the 71st minute of play forced Alloway City's goalkeeper Ricky Munro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alloway City's Ricky Munro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Alloway City from getting a goal against them. If Raymond Lonie had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Raymond Lonie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raymond Lonie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Iona's goal looked a bit too open when Declan Dochart came free, but Richard Frizell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Many of Iona's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Iona may have spent more time on the ball, but Alloway City were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
