Joaquim Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mariano Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5thth minute of the game Vítor Vieira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Codixeira's Mariano Martins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manuel Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Luz having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Codixeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Freitas to maneuver through the defense. If Joaquim Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Correia in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Codixeira's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Amaro came free, but Mariano Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Amaro made a kick off. Abel Correia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Mariano Martins made a huge save. In the 59th minute Eusébio Simões shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Amaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Martins having to interfere. If Joaquim Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th match minute, Codixeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristóvão Moniz to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes in the game, Joaquim Amaro fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mariano Martins having to interfere. Redondos's Abel Correia managed to work through Codixeira's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Abel Correia dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 71 minutes into the match, Codixeira's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Amaro came free, but Mariano Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Baptista hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Codixeira's zone, Abel Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Martins came out of the goal and Abel Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Codixeira's Tiago Morais got a free kick in the 95th minute. In the 97th minute of the match Manuel Jesus sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mariano Martins skillfully saved the ball. Alexandre Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Codixeira fans cheered their team off the field, for while Redondos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
