Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Matas FC's Armando Assunção started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Vicente Faro came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the SC Lajedo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Faro couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Vicente Faro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abel Maia was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Abel Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Santos in the 10th minute of play. In the 12th minute Jacinto Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Maia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodrigo Assunção recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Armando Assunção's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 25th match minute, SC Lajedo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Simões to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Assunção in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Armando Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matas FC's Armando Assunção got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rodrigo Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Lajedo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Armando Assunção scored to the left of an out of position Duarte Abreu, making the score, 1-0. Vicente Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Abel Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jacinto Magalhães stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duarte Abreu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Assunção in the 53rd minute of the match. Vicente Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Maia having to interfere. Duarte Abreu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Assunção, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Assunção in the 61st minute of play forced SC Lajedo's goalkeeper Duarte Abreu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ricardo Nogueira fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matas FC's protests and gave Ricardo Nogueira a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardo Nogueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
