Antigo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Mosteirinho FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Basílio Cruz hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, Cristiano Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Brás. Mosteirinho FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 13th minute, José Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Mosteirinho FC's Lourenço Ferreira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Antigo's zone, Luís Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Borba came out of the goal and Luís Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lourenço Ferreira in the 34th minute of play forced Antigo's goalkeeper Viriato Borba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mosteirinho FC's Alexandre Brás played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Andrade in the 40th minute of play. António Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed António Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Antigo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Mosteirinho FC:s goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Antigo's Cristiano Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mosteirinho FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Brás, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cristiano Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexandre Brás was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. José Fernandes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Brás read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Andrade in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alexandre Brás prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lourenço Ferreira took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Borba. Viriato Borba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Lourenço Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, one of Mosteirinho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mosteirinho FC. After having played for 94 minutes, José Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Antigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Fernandes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Antigo's José Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Brás narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cristiano Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Brás having to interfere. Mosteirinho FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
