The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Sérgio Costa put in a rough tackle. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Barranha! In the 16th minute, Armando Santarém got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Oliveira Bessa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simão Viegas was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. SC Enxudro's Adelino Anjos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Veiga in the 23rd minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, SC Barranha's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Santarém came free, but Simão Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Veiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Neto during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Enxudro's Armando Neto got a free kick in the 29th minute. With a little luck, SC Enxudro's Adelino Anjos got control of the ball when Jacinto Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Óscar Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Baptista during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Enxudro getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Manuel Baptista hit a great ball. Paulo Nogueira charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paulo Nogueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 43 played minutes SC Enxudro got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Nogueira. After 46 minutes of play, SC Enxudro's Oliveira Bessa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simão Viegas was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliveira Bessa made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, João Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacinto Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Anjos having to interfere. In the 55th minute, SC Barranha's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oliveira Bessa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Óscar Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Armando Santarém struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Simão Viegas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Enxudro. After a rather tough play, SC Barranha's Óscar Nogueira got a free kick in the 62nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, SC Enxudro's André Amaral tried to score from far away in the 63rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of SC Barranha booed when SC Enxudro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th match minute, SC Barranha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Brás to maneuver through the defense. Armando Santarém in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Simão Viegas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Oliveira Bessa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simão Viegas having to make a save. Oliveira Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Simão Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paulo Nogueira was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. When Pedro Brás came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SC Barranha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Brás couldn't finish the play. If Jacinto Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Leão during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Leão hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Barranha's zone, Armando Santarém stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simão Viegas came out of the goal and Armando Santarém tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SC Enxudro's Armando Neto got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle sounded SC Enxudro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SC Barranha.
