Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Afonso Coelho made the kick off and thus started the match. When Joaquim Sá came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Simantorta FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joaquim Sá couldn't finish the play. Bruno Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bernardo Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Ribeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Simantorta FC's zone, Bruno Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Domingues came out of the goal and Bruno Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Coelho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jorge Domingues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Nascimento in the 25th minute of play forced Simantorta FC's goalkeeper Jorge Domingues to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Boassas's goalkeeper Rui Ribeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joaquim Sá. After a rather tough play, Boassas's Eduardo Araújo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Rui Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Barros in the 37th minute of play. Bernardo Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rui Ribeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Domingues having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Bruno Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boassas's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruno Nascimento was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Domingues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When Afonso Coelho, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 57 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Jorge Domingues was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Rui Ribeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes in the game, Bruno Nascimento fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jorge Domingues having to interfere. When Sérgio Neves fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simantorta FC's protests and gave Sérgio Neves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Boassas booed when Simantorta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sérgio Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Afonso Coelho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Domingues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Coelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 played minutes Boassas got a freekick which was hit by Domingos Esteves. Lúcio Nascimento was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bernardo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Ribeiro having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
