After a rather tough play, Albardo FC's Paulo Nunes got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Lourenço Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bento Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Joel Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Américo Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bento Esteves having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Paulo Nunes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albardo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corveiros FC the free kick. Lourenço Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Albardo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lourenço Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, Corveiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. Albardo FC's Tiago Pedroso got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Lourenço Pinheiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 40 minutes had been played. In the 41st match minute, Corveiros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Pinheiro to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bento Esteves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Barbosa in the 52nd minute of the match. When Tiago Pedroso, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 54 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Américo Guarda was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Joel Cardoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Albardo FC's goalkeeper Bento Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ricardo Reis. Tiago Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Américo Guarda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, João Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Albardo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but João Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Américo Guarda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Tiago Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rafael Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Albardo FC's protests and gave Rafael Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Albardo FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corveiros FC:s goal. The goalkeeper, Bento Esteves, was totally fooled by Corveiros FC's Daniel Viana, who 72 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Albardo FC's Bento Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Albardo FC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardo Reis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bento Esteves. That made the score 0-2 in the 75 minute of play. In the 100th minute Tiago Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Guarda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Corveiros FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
