Jacinto Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Rodrigues having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Cláudio Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Carril's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílcar Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 58th minute Cláudio Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Piscouxe's Jorge Aguiar. Jorge Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. José Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Anjos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Carril's zone, Jorge Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Rodrigues came out of the goal and Jorge Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head.
