Aveloso FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Jorge Aguiar scored to the left of an out of position Manuel Cardoso, making the score, 1-0. In the 18th minute, Pedro Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pedro Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Manuel Cardoso made a huge save. Jacinto Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Cardoso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Piscouxe's zone, Pedro Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Anjos came out of the goal and Pedro Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, SC Piscouxe's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Pires came free, but Fernando Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio Andrade struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Fernando Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aveloso FC. After a rather tough play, SC Piscouxe's Paulo Delgado got a free kick in the 38th minute. After 40 played minutes SC Piscouxe got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Delgado. Pedro Pires struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Fernando Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aveloso FC. Jorge Aguiar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Manuel Cardoso made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Carneiro to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, SC Piscouxe's Jacinto Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Cardoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 54th match minute, SC Piscouxe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Fernando Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Pires in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Pedro Pires fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fernando Anjos, passed just outside the right post. Paulo Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Jorge Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes, João Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aveloso FC and the SC Piscouxe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 70 played minutes Aveloso FC got a freekick which was hit by João Queirós. If Jacinto Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute, Pedro Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Jacinto Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Cardoso. Aveloso FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jacinto Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 94th minute, Pedro Pires fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Fernando Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Pires in the 97th minute of play. Many of Aveloso FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Aveloso FC may have spent more time on the ball, but SC Piscouxe were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
