Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jaime Viana started the match with the kick off. Viriato Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 played minutes Redondo got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Andrade. After 9 minutes, Simão Santos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Redondo and the Cidadelha FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Redondo getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Simão Santos hit a great ball. After 10 played minutes, Cidadelha FC's David Dantas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filipe Leal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cidadelha FC reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Matos in the 15th minute of play forced Redondo's goalkeeper Filipe Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Cidadelha FC got a corner. Redondo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. David Dantas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hélder Matos scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Filipe Leal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hélder Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Leal having to interfere. Hélder Matos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Viriato Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Fontes having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Viriato Assis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Nuno Fontes, passed just outside the right post.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Assis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nuno Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Assis in the 53rd minute of play. If Viriato Assis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Fontes having to interfere. Vítor Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Nuno Fontes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cidadelha FC's zone, Vítor Mota stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Fontes came out of the goal and Vítor Mota tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Redondo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cidadelha FC:s goal. David Dantas walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 74th minute, Vítor Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cidadelha FC's Nuno Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Assis in the 75th minute of play. Redondo's Filipe Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Redondo from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Viana in the 80th minute of play forced Redondo's goalkeeper Filipe Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jaime Viana came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Cidadelha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Viana couldn't finish the play. Hélder Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Leal having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucas Borges during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cidadelha FC's Nuno Fontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Assis in the 96th minute of play. The Cidadelha FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
