He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Canos reached it. When SC Carapacho's António Queirós in 20 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Ricardo Pacheco guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Gustavo Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Oliveira Garcia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Canos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Carapacho the free kick. A collision led to SC Canos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Oliveira Garcia hit a great ball. Ricardo Pacheco had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when António Queirós from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasco Lima in the 37th minute of play forced SC Carapacho's goalkeeper João Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 played minutes SC Canos got a freekick which was hit by Oliveira Garcia. Ricardo Pacheco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Queirós in the 45th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hugo Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
