Valdeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Amadeu Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Borba hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Rui Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Joel Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdeira FC's Joel Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Brás in the 20th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Paulo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valdeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute Amadeu Araújo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 played minutes Adega got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Correia. Rogério Fonseca hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Heitor Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Joel Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Joel Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Costa in the 61st minute of play. If Amadeu Araújo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Freitas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 70 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Adega:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Valdeira FC:s goal. Heitor Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 played minutes Adega got a freekick which was hit by Heitor Costa. When Adega's Heitor Costa in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valdeira FC's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 97 played minutes Valdeira FC got a freekick which was hit by António Tavares. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
