The attack was good, but when Amadeu Araújo in the 24th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Paulo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valdeira FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd minute of the match Armindo Costa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Esteves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Valdeira FC's Paulo Soares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Esteves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Valdeira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Lopes came free, but Joel Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th match minute, Valdeira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Domingues to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Valdeira FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Armindo Costa hit a great ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tiago Marques to make the kick off. SC Pocinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Araújo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0.
