António Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Mário Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Catarino Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lúcio Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Larinho FC booed when SC Meireles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. Larinho FC's António Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 39th minute Tiago Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mário Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Moreira hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. António Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mário Gomes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After 46 minutes, Alexandre Valente mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Meireles and the Larinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Alexandre Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mário Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliveira Sá in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and António Fonseca made a kick off. Oliveira Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Gomes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Larinho FC's zone, Lúcio Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Catarino Figueiredo came out of the goal and Lúcio Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Lúcio Setúbal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. António Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mário Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Larinho FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gonçalo Ferro hit a great ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Paulo Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Meireles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oliveira Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oliveira Sá came free with the goalkeeper in the 76th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Mário Gomes could save by the left post. When Larinho FC's António Fonseca in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Meireles's goalie prevented a goal. After 78 played minutes SC Meireles got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Sá. António Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If António Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Oliveira Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Nogueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of SC Meireles booed when Larinho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonçalo Ferro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
