After a rather tough play, Ancas's Viriato Vieira got a free kick in the 9th minute. 9 minutes into the match, SC Arroteia's Sebastião Henriques broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gustavo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Arroteia's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Carvalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hélder Mota breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Gustavo Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Arroteia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Diogo Faro hit a great ball. Jorge Leal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luís Almeida in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Arroteia's zone, Luís Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Leal came out of the goal and Luís Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The long shot by Bernardo Viegas in the 34th minute really tested Jorge Leal's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gustavo Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Cunha during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. André Cunha hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Hélder Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Henriques in the 45th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Luís Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Leal was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

The supporters of Ancas booed when SC Arroteia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Ancas's Vicente Abreu in action when he in the 66th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! During the 68th minute of the match Lúcio Leite completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lúcio Leite a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 68 played minutes SC Arroteia got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Leite. SC Arroteia's Jorge Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Almeida in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, SC Arroteia's Américo Henriques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hélder Mota made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. 79 minutes into the game, André Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jorge Leal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 82 minutes, João Domingues mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ancas and the SC Arroteia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd match minute, Ancas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Domingues to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 83 minutes, Américo Henriques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Arroteia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Henriques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luís Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jorge Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Cunha in the 86th minute of play. Bernardo Viegas hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Ancas's Luís Almeida got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Basílio Coimbra's late challenge caught a Ancas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Basílio Coimbra helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Arroteia getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Basílio Coimbra hit a great ball. After 98 played minutes, Ancas's Vicente Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorge Leal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ancas reached it.
