Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Assis started the match with the kick off. In the last second Jorge Leal throw himself and got hold of the ball when Francisco Assis in the 5thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. If Américo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Pomarao booed when SC Arroteia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Coimbra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Leal was a little too slow when Francisco Assis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Francisco Assis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jorge Leal came out and tried to block the shot, but Francisco Assis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Paulo Barros hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Américo Henriques sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pomarao's Álvaro Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Henriques in the 24th minute of play. Pomarao's Carlos Leiria was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Leal in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Assis in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Leal saved SC Arroteia from getting behind. If Américo Henriques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Assis's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Monteiro got free with Jorge Leal in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of SC Arroteia booed when Pomarao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Viana didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Sérgio Borges kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Gustavo Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Arroteia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 56th match minute, SC Arroteia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sérgio Borba to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute of the match Alfredo Rodrigues shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Leal showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Lúcio Leite fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Arroteia's protests and gave Lúcio Leite a yellow card for diving instead. After 60 played minutes SC Arroteia got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Leite. Pomarao's Carlos Leiria couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 61st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SC Arroteia. SC Arroteia's Jorge Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Assis in the 66th minute of play. Francisco Assis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Leal having to interfere. Filipe Viana's late challenge caught a SC Arroteia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Viana helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pomarao getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Filipe Viana hit a great ball. After 94 minutes Pomarao's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sebastião Henriques who took care of the corner kick. 98 minutes into the match, Américo Henriques had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Álvaro Barbosa. Pomarao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Américo Henriques was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1.
