After a defensive mix-up in SC Padescas's zone, Carlos Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Barros came out of the goal and Carlos Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Duarte Figueiredo fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Padescas's protests and gave Duarte Figueiredo a yellow card for diving instead. Duarte Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Carlos Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but João Barros made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emílio Macedo during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
