After a defensive mix-up in Corva's zone, Cristóvão Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Pedroso came out of the goal and Cristóvão Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Pedroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristóvão Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Vítor Pedroso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristóvão Freitas in the 16th minute of play. If Lúcio Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diamantino Torres stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Diamantino Torres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Diogo Silva. Diamantino Torres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Corva eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
