When João Leiria came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Lamela FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Leiria couldn't finish the play. Gil Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Rui Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rui Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lamela FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Rui Melo hit a great ball. Afonso Dias made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when João Leiria sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Dias having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, João Leiria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Dias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 26th of the match, Daniel Borba tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Afonso Dias got in the way and made a wonderful save. Alexandre Leite took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vasco Queirós took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alexandre Leite. Lamela FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 37th minute, Vasco Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Afonso Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gil Jesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alexandre Leite read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Daniel Borba made the kick off in the second half. When Vicente Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Palmela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Lamela FC defense, Gil Jesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Leite. The Lamela FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Leite should have stopped the shot. João Leiria struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Afonso Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lamela FC. Vicente Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Leite having to interfere. Gil Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Alexandre Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolfo Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Alfredo Vale hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Palmela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Humberto Moura in the 98th minute. Miguel Esteves made a great header on Palmela's corner, it was just that Lamela FC's Alexandre Leite managed to reach the ball for a save. The Lamela FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Palmela's performance. The match ended with a win for Palmela.
