The referee ignored Carapelhos's protests and gave António Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th match minute, Carapelhos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Carapelhos's Álvaro Pinheiro got control of the ball when Gil Jesus tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Palmela booed when Carapelhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicente Ribeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
