Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) After a defensive mix-up in Pomarelhos's zone, Gaspar Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Leal came out of the goal and Gaspar Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardo Leal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Mota in the 4th minute of the match. With a little luck, Pomarelhos's Bernardo Leal got control of the ball when Joel Freitas tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricardo Valente during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Comunhas's Ricardo Valente got a free kick in the 12th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Pomarelhos's Amadeu Pereira tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Comunhas booed when Pomarelhos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfim Mendes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bernardo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Gaspar Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Fontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Henriques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Fontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lúcio Ramos in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Henriques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Fontes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Henriques having to interfere. A collision led to Comunhas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ricardo Valente hit a great ball. Ricardo Valente was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The Pomarelhos fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Pomarelhos's Cristiano Fontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
