António Leiria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Francisco Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Francisco Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Francisco Leão fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cortesia FC's protests and gave Francisco Leão a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Cortesia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Leão to maneuver through the defense. When José Ribeiro fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Folgados's protests and gave José Ribeiro a yellow card for diving instead. José Ribeiro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cortesia FC's Fernando Nunes tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. António Leiria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cortesia FC's Pedro Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Cortesia FC from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cortesia FC's zone, Sérgio Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Andrade came out of the goal and Sérgio Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Folgados's Sérgio Martins slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Andrade. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. 29 minutes into the match, Cortesia FC's goalkeeper Pedro Andrade had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by António Leiria. If Sérgio Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Mota made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Leão in the 41st minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Marques made a kick off. After 57 minutes SC Folgados's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Nunes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Cortesia FC's Fernando Nunes to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisco Mota despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Francisco Leão's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 60thth minute, Francisco Mota skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vítor Gaspar during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 70th minute, Sérgio Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cortesia FC's Pedro Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Leiria in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd match minute, SC Folgados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Andrade to maneuver through the defense. After 74 played minutes Fernando Nunes shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for SC Folgados's Francisco Mota to catch but Fernando Nunes was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After having played for 81 minutes, António Leiria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Folgados's supporters crossed their fingers, but António Leiria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the game, João Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Folgados's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cortesia FC the free kick. In the 83rd match minute, SC Folgados was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Marques to maneuver through the defense. Sérgio Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Andrade having to interfere. Sérgio Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
