After having played for 24 minutes, Luís Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peredo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Pinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Alfredo Morais made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when José Mendes sent off a good shot on target. When Delfim Borges fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peredo FC's protests and gave Delfim Borges a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peredo FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Delfim Borges hit a great ball. José Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. José Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Trindade in the 45th minute of play. SC Sapiaos's José Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Pinto in the 47th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Pinto to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Luís Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peredo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Pinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Luís Pinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, SC Sapiaos's goalkeeper José Barbosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cláudio Trindade. In the 57th minute, SC Sapiaos's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Luís Pinto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. José Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Pinto's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 66 played minutes SC Sapiaos got a freekick which was hit by Vasco Brás. Cláudio Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute Marco Cabral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Morais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Luís Pinto recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of José Barbosa. Luís Pinto showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Cláudio Trindade in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of José Barbosa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Alfredo Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Cabral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joaquim Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 91st play minute Cláudio Trindade came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised José Barbosa. 1-2. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peredo FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
